Digits, Fabric, and Google

by Chris Oryschak, Product Manager

When we first launched Digits in 2014, our goal was to help you get more people into your app and build safe communities among your user base through simple phone number verification. Since then, we’ve added many new features and integrations so you can track your login funnel in real-time and optimize your conversion rate.

Today we enter the next chapter for Digits: the Fabric team just announced that they’ve signed an agreement for Fabric - including Digits - to be acquired by Google, working with the Firebase team. You can read more about today’s announcement on the Firebase blog, here.

Digits customers: there’s no action you need to take as a result of this announcement. During a transition period, Digits will continue to be maintained by Twitter under its existing terms. If you have any questions or need support for Digits, please ping the Twitter Community forums as usual.

Thank you for using Digits - we love our customers and are excited to build even more awesome tools for mobile app teams on the combined Fabric and Firebase platform.
